Quite astounding how my daughter went from an Ed Psych report suggesting it might be better not to take GCSE maths to a confident able student, leaving exams felling positive and jumping grades over a few terms. Dawn was patient, professional and encouraging, seeing where the problem lay, injecting confidence and demonstrating the potential and ability that lay beneath. Faultless. Our Tutor Harriet was lovely, experienced and excellent at working out what was needed. Its helped no end, and definitely been worth it - Elite found Harriet straight away, so we didn't lose any time getting started. I'd highly recommend them!

She has knowledge in many subjects and is excellent at supporting him with strategies and approaches, to learning, revision and exams. My son has dyslexia and Yemi supported him to navigate his revision and exams with calmness and confidence.

Yemi's tutoring had an amazing impact. She unlocked his potential, his self belief and his confidence.  He now believes in himself, he has connected to his abilities and intelligence, something that had been hidden for him, due to his dyslexia. With Yemi's support he has done his GCSEs with calm, focus and engagement.

Last exam today and all is calm!

Despite the short time period, Harriet, the tutor, really helped our daughter. She made really good progress in just a few weeks and was successful in securing places at our schools of choice.

After just three sessions he was "playing" maths sums and not worried at all. I will use them again once he starts high school, especially Liz who was wonderful, fun and made him feel so much more confident with her approach to teaching.

The interview process and checks were incredibly professional, as they should be, but that has not been at the expense of a very personal service in terms of assigning me the pupils best suited to my skills and experience, and supporting me through my first steps with the agency. This has included providing extra training opportunities to fill gaps in my experience, supportive conversations with director Karen Ormerod around pupil background and my first sessions, prompt responses to any email enquiries, and guidance on resources. Karen really cares about both her pupils and her tutors, and is incredibly dedicated to her job. I chose to apply to the agency because the job advert expressed this ethos, but I am very happy to have found it to be equally true in practice. I would highly recommend tutoring for this agency, whether you have a teacher background or not (I don’t), as there is a place and rate according to experience, but even the graduate rate is extremely fair.

Our son’s tutor has been excellent and guided him through the BOFA process in advance of some entrance exams. The zoom lessons work ok and the learning is very organised, and exactly what we were looking for to complement our useless attempts at homeschooling during five months of Covid lockdown. She knows the specification inside and out and uses different methods to keep us engaged. Nothing is too much trouble, she went over and above. We made a last minute application to a school that required my daughter to sit the ISEB Pretest at very short notice.  We contacted Helen, she assessed our needs and restrictive circumstances and managed to match us the most wonderful, highly experienced tutor who was perfect for my daughter in every way.  We had a short, intense period of lessons combined with face to face and online learning.  My daughter has just been invited for an interview at the selective school based on her sound ISEB Pretest results!   We are over the moon.   I highly recommend Helen and her team!

Carrie holds an MA in Education, a PGCE Primary with QTS and a BA in English, Psychology and History of Art.
